Order of 16 March 2026 (signed), published in the Official Journal No. 0091 of 17 April 2026 (NOR TECM2604943A), extending Amendment No. 4 on minimum wages under the national collective bargaining agreement for deck and engine officers of maritime transport and services companies, following the opinion of the national maritime collective bargaining commission of 17 February 2026.

Court of Cassation, Commercial Chamber, referral ruling of 15 April 2026 (No. 292): referral to the Constitutional Council of a priority question of constitutionality concerning Article L. 5341-11 of the Transport Code (civil immunity of the maritime pilot towards third parties), at the request of GIE Norgal, supported by TotalEnergies Petrochemicals France and Chane Terminal Le Havre. This priority question will give rise to Decision No. 2026-1208 QPC of 25 June 2026 (see the week of 22-28 June).

IMO Legal Committee (LEG 113), London, 13-17 April 2026, chaired by Mr Diego Ramirez (Marshall Islands): opening of work on combating fraudulent ship registration; update on the fair treatment of seafarers (financial security in the event of abandonment, MLC 2006 amendments); a finding that international liability and compensation regimes (CLC, HNS) do not adequately cover incidents linked to alternative fuels (ammonia, methanol, hydrogen) — a major regulatory undertaking for insurance and P&I.
