Ordinance No. 2026-154 of 4 March 2026 (Official Journal of 5 March) updating Book VIII of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code relating to overseas territories (authorised under Art. 57 of Law No. 2025-268 of 24 March 2025), a ratification bill was tabled on 6 May 2026. Order of 24 February 2026 (Official Journal No. 0054 of 4 March) on the phased roll-out of the obligation to carry a vessel monitoring system (VMS) for fishing vessels under 12 metres.
