ITLOS, Order of the President of 16 March 2026: removal from the docket of the “Zheng He” case (Luxembourg v. Mexico), concerning Mexico’s detention, on 1 November 2023, of a vessel flying the Luxembourg flag while making a technical stopover in Tampico, and the compatibility of that detention with the freedom of navigation guaranteed by UNCLOS — a settlement-driven resolution, in all likelihood, and a textbook case on the protection of vessels making technical stopovers. 44th meeting of the IMSBC Code editorial group and 52nd session of the IMSO Council, London, 16-19 March 2026.
