A direct consequence of the Supreme Court’s decision: IEEPA duties cease to be collected as of 24 February 2026, 00:00. On 23 February, the European Parliament in turn suspends the EU-US trade agreement concluded the previous summer, pending clarification from Washington on the consequences of the US decision. On 26 February, Uruguay and Argentina ratify the EU-Mercosur agreement on the Mercosur side.
