Final adoption of the law simplifying economic life — Following the agreement reached in the joint committee (commission mixte paritaire), the National Assembly (14 April) and then the Senate (15 April 2026) give final adoption to the bill simplifying economic life, which reduces administrative burdens for businesses, facilitates access to public procurement and reforms, among other things, commercial leases.

Cartel in the distribution of organic products — Decision No. 26-D-05 of 16 April 2026 — The Competition Authority fines the Syndicat national des distributeurs spécialisés de produits biologiques (national union of specialist organic product distributors), together with Greenweez, Les Comptoirs de la Bio and ITM Entreprises, €12.67 million for a complex, single cartel in the distribution of organic-branded products.
